I’m an old trombone player trying to pick up the trumpet. This book has a lot of fun stand-bys like Anchors Aweigh and some real classics like Stars & Stripes Forever. It even has The Battle Cry of Freedom, which is a theme song on some of the PBS Civil War movies. I thought they could have filled in some of the half-page spaces with more bugle calls like the Call to Colors. But this is a “go-to” book because all the arrangements are feasible for someone who doesn’t do so well in the upper register.
