I bought this as I am starting to play the trumpet again after an 11 year break. The book is good as it has 50 ‘Famous’ classical themes, but I was hoping maybe it would have a little more instruction. Some of the songs seem slightly beyond an intermediate as I feel this is what I was before ‘retiring’. I enjoy playing from it and there are some songs I really like.

I’m a dabbler. Found the “easy” challenging at times. Found “intermediate” made me appreciate professionals all the more. Well written in achievable keys.

These are great classical songs for a new player. Not to difficult and only includes short themes. My grandson will enjoy these.

The book is well put together and the notation and level is adequate, however I wish the author arranged these in easier keys. Trumpets and Clarinets don’t normally play in D major. However I see merit in teaching these key signatures, they’re not very common for the level this book was written for.

I like the formatting of these easy to play song books from this company, but wish they would include the words and a CD so we can get refamiliarized the melody before playing. I would gladly pay more for the CD.
